It is a scaled up version of the Westwings kit with some structural mods.

The wing span is 41 inches, length 48 incheswith an all up weight of 1.5 kg.

It was originally powered by a 70 mm Wemotec 7 blade fan unit on a 4 cell battery. Performance was just about adequate needing a good dive to get the energy for a reasonable loop.

The model is about 6 years old but hasn't been flown much do to it's marginal performance. There is no undercarriage and I use a bungee to launch.

The fan unit motor expired a few weeks ago so I decided to fit a 70mm 4-Max unit and ESC. The performance has been transformed on the same battery, large loops are possible from level flight and the fan is much quieter, most of the flight only requires about half throttle.

In all very pleased with the result. All at the flying site were impressed with the transformation.
