Spektrum DX7s 2.4GHz
7-Channel
DSMX Radio with Telemetry
Expect more from a 7-Channel
Based on the DX8 platform, the new DX7s has a 20 model memory,
(helicopter or airplane) and is loaded with a number of valuable
features not found in any other 7-channel in its class, making
it the new radio of choice for 7-channel computer radio systems.
Building on the successful Spektrum DX7 radio, the DX7s has improved
ergonomics and a much more expansive and user-friendly software
base in AirWare. The new DX7s offers sophisticated programming
to meet the demands of even the most experienced airplane and helicopter
pilots. An easy-to-use rolling selector combined with intuitive
software makes setting up models quick and easy.
The DX8 and is telemetry ready, the transmitter's screen displaying
real-time telemetry including receiver battery voltage, signal
quality and flight log data; which includes antenna fades, frame
losses and holds (failsafes). External sensors (sold separately)
allow rpm, external voltage and temperature to be displayed on
screen in real time and alarms can be programmed to warn of low
battery, over temperature, exceeded rpm and diminished RF signal
strength.
The DX7s features a SD card slot allowing data transfer to and
from the radio allowing the transfer of single and multiple models
as well as firmware updates. This functionality gives the DX7s
the opportunity and luxury of model presets, eliminating programming
errors, and reducing the time to get new models flying.
The top switch locations have been changed to improve ergonomics,
and the popular roller/selector is conveniently placed on the right
side of the radio for easy thumb use for software navigation. Gimbals
are quad ballraced for a smooth action and the DX7s is of course
LiPo capable.
The DX7s features a built-in multi-chemistry charger designed
to charge 4-cell NiMH and 2-cell LiPo batteries at a charge rate
of 200mAh. The charge jack on the right side of the transmitter
is non-polarity-critical, allowing the use any type of 12-volt
supply to charge the battery regardless of connector polarity
The DX7s is equipped with Spektrum™ AirWare™ that
was developed exclusively by Spektrum from the ground up. It has
all the programming functions an airplane or heli pilot could want,
but you don't have to be an expert to use them.
The intuitive SimpleScroll™ interface makes navigating menus
and changing settings as simple as "roll and click". It's almost
like using a mouse. Spektrum AirWare also features exclusive Spektrum
innovations you won't find anywhere else.
Innovations that make flying safer and programming easier.
Enhanced Wing Type Programming
Spektrum™ AirWare™ will graphically show which type
of wing programming a pilot has chosen and automatically configure
the necessary mixes. This saves time and reduces the chance for
error when programming complex control surface configurations that
use multiple servos.
ModelMatch™
If you've flown with a programmable transmitter for any amount
of time, chances are you've crashed or you've seen someone crash
because the model on the display screen wasn't the model being
flown. Like all Spektrum programmable transmitters, the DX7s
is immune to Wrong Model Syndrome thanks to ModelMatch. If the
model you select from memory doesn't match the model you're trying
to fly, the aircraft's controls won't respond until the correct
model is selected.
3-Position Flaps with Elevator Compensation and Speed
Adjustment
Enjoy the flexibility of three flap positions for different phases
of flight. The elevator compensation mixing and speed adjustment
can be used to dampen pitch changes during flaps deployment. The
speed adjustment feature is also great for scale modelers who prize
realism in model functions as well as appearance.
ServoSync™
ServoSync™ is an ingenious feature that automatically re-sequences
the bits of data being transmitted based on the type of mixing
you select. If you select dual elevator mixing or 3-servo CCPM,
ServoSync will make sure that those servos working together receive
their pulses together. The result is more synchronised servo movement,
which translates into an undeniable locked-in feel when you fly.
